Beni Dibra - The Beni D. Quartet and Inside Out
Since meeting Ed Peck at the mid winter Blues and Jazz Festival in Regina last winter, the quest to find the right sound for my Jazz Fusion group has come to an end. I have played many MAJOR brands for the past fifteen years and I can confidently say that, whether it’s in the studio, an intimate club setting or much larger venues, My Epek’s are diverse enough to handle any playing situation. I performed with “ The Beni. D Quartet” at the 2003 Jazz Winnipeg Festival with the Epek’s, and received many accolades from the sound crew, other musicians and the audience. The drums have been very well accepted here in Winnipeg by the local drumming community and are gaining notoriety and respect. In my opinion this is due to the unique sound that the Epek’s have. With the satin finish and Genesis Maple™ we chose, I find the drums have a very Earthy, honest, and pure tone to them that is distinctive from any other drums I have played.
