Michael Thompson - Jason Plumb/ Brad Johner
Mike started playing drums at the age of eleven after
a brief attempt at playing the organ. He figured if
he learned how to play the drums he could hang out with
the cool kids. By the age of fifteen he was playing
'paying' gigs around town with many wonderful and talented
musicians. Over the next 20 years Mike would have the
opportunity to perform with a wide array of
talent and travel all over the world. Whether it be
playing blues or R&B, country or rock/pop with artists
like Serena Ryder, Brad Johner, Jason Plumb, 'Big' Bill
Morganfield, Jack Semple, Stepchyle, Dan Silljer, blues
legend Bo Diddley, Casey Stone or Joel Fafard- Mike
enjoys playing it all.
Mike's
Comments:
"I'm so excited to be playing my new EPEK drum set.
These drums perform consistently and reliably whether
in the coffee house, the recording studio, or the concert
hall. My proximity to the shop meant that it was easy
for me to drop by and pester Ed frequently while my
drums were being built. I'm pretty sure I was a fussy
and somewhat indecisive one about the finish color.
I found Ed to be endlessly helpful and knowledgeable,
always having time to talk and offer advice. I know
I got the
exact sound and finish I was after."
